The most important sign of an intestinal worm infestation is white, squiggly worms in your pet’s stool. Other symptoms may include vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, dull coat, increase in appetite with no weight gain, anemia (low red blood cell count), scooting their bum on the carpet or grass, mild to severe coughing and scratching at the base of their tail.

The types of worms that dogs can suffer from include tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, threadworms, and heartworms. Most of these worms infest a dog’s intestinal tract when a dog ingest contaminated food, water or soil.

Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds contain insecticidal compounds called cucurbitacin. It is an amino acid that aids in expelling tapeworms and roundworms from your dog's intestine. It can prevent them from holding on the intestinal wall and help kick the parasite out of the digestive tract. In addition, these small species offer other health benefits for dogs. You need to grind pumpkin seeds and mix your powder into your dog's regular food and feed your dog twice a day. Please use 1/4 teaspoon of the pumpkin seed for every 10 pounds your dog's weight. Use this procedure until you stop noticing any worms on your dog's stool.

Food-Grade Diatomaceous Earth

Dietary grade Diatomaceous earth (DE) can also help to eliminate worms like whipworms and hookworms. However, it has no effect on cestodes. Microscopically sharp edges of DE penetrate the protective coating of the parasite causing dehydration and death. It can be used not only internally but also externally to control the intrusion of the worm. For dogs over 55 pounds please add a tablespoon of food grade de to the dog food and give it once a day. For a puppy and a small dog, please keep the dose in one teaspoon per day. Follow this procedure to destroy eggs and hatching and small insects throughout the lungs and stomach for at least a month.

Cloves

Cloves contain powerful antimicrobial and antiparasitic properties that help destroy different types of intestinal worms. Also, to help increase the white blood cell count to improve your dog's immune system. For small dogs, once a week, give 1/4 of dry cloves, crush and mix with food. For mid-sized dogs, give 1/2 of dry clove once a week, crush and mix with food. For a big dog, it gives one whole dry clove, crush and mix with food once a day. Follow this treatment again for the second week after a week break as a precautionary measure. Note: Do not give cloves to pregnant dogs in any form.

Papaya

Effective papain found in papaya can help you to remove intestinal parasites from your dog. Give your dog 2 tablespoons of papaya seed in the form of flour for every 20 pounds of the dog. Treatment should be done for 7 consecutive days. You can also feed your dog ripe papaya. Most dogs really love the taste of papaya.

Turmeric
Turmeric

Turmeric has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce inflammation and intestinal damage caused by parasite invasion. This herb also heals the region of the intestine infected by the worm. It also helps the liver to get rid of toxins left in the body by intestinal worms. Also, slight bitterness of turmeric paste and powder is preferred by the majority of dogs. You just need to add turmeric to your dog's regular food for 10 to 15 days. Please use approximately 1/8 to 1/8 teaspoon of turmeric per 10 pounds of your dog 's weight. The dose starts low and gradually increases. Note: If your dog is pregnant, do not give it turmeric as it may irritate the uterus.

Garlic

Garlic is another herb that can help deal with worm infestation in dogs. Raw garlic has amino acids containing sulfur which is antiparasitic in nature. However, when it comes to garlic, it needs to be used moderately. Garlic helps detoxify the body while removing harmful bacteria and supports beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract. Because of its powerful antimicrobial properties and the nature of antibiotics, it also fights parasites and protists. Another benefit of garlic is that it prevents fleas from entering the dog. You need to give garlic based on your dog's weight. 10 pounds to 15 pounds: 1/4 cloves. 15 to 40 pounds: 1 clove. 45 to 70 pounds: 2 cloves. 75 75 to 90 pounds: 2.5 cloves .100 pounds + 3 cloves. Just grill the necessary amount of garlic and put it on your dog food and mix it with some fennels before feeding. Note: Garlic must be not be given to dogs over a week, otherwise it may be harmful.

Carrots

It is important to include carrots in your dog's diet during the worm removal period. It heals the intestinal wall of inflammation. Carrot is a great source of nutrition and help your dog's immune system, so you must routinely include carrots on your dog's diet. Depending on its size, please give your dog a tablespoon of finely chopped carrots one or two times daily.

Parsley

It is important during treatments to give your dog parsley water to help keep his system working. Parsley helps the body eliminate the toxins left behind in the digestive system by the worm. It also reduces inflammation caused by parasites attached to the intestinal wall. Parsley also contains many nutrients that boost your pet's immune system. Put a bunch of fresh parsley into a pot of boiling water. It can be boiled for 3 minutes. Please remove it from heat and set it aside to cool. Pour water and save it in the refrigerator. Please give your dog 1 tablespoon of parsley water for every 10 pounds of your dog's weight, feed once a day for 10 days.

Black Walnut
Black Walnut

Black walnuts can help remove bowel worms from parasitic dogs. Only a slight green walnut of black walnut can be used to remove dog intestinal worms. Please give your dog a black walnut tincture (do not use regular strength, extra strength) more than two weeks at a time. Please use 1 drop for for every 10 pounds of body weight. Also give 1/4 of 500 mg capsule for small dogs, and 1/2 capsule for 25 pounds and over dogs. Do this for two weeks. Note: If you give the wrong dosage, black walnut can potentially be toxic.
